Zynovii Kvit was born on May 21, 1922 in the town of Pomoriany, Lviv Region. He lived in the United States, where he worked as a secondary school teacher, teaching chemistry and five languages in Philadelphia.
He served as President of the Ukrainian World Association of Professional Teachers and was also Chairman of the World Federation of Ukrainian Teachers. In addition, he authored several books for children.
The collection began arriving at the NaUKMA Scientific Library in June 2005. It consists primarily of periodicals, as well as works in philology and history.
